OpenChain Announces SoftSafe Tech as Official Partner

Joining the OpenChain Partner Program

OpenChain is a Linux Foundation project that drives international standards and industry practices around open-source license compliance and software supply chain security. SoftSafe Tech’s membership will allow it to engage with project members in discussing actual needs within component identification, license obligation analysis, and supply chain risk management.

Focus of the collaboration

The partnership will focus on the OpenChain ISO/IEC 5230 open-source license compliance standard and the ISO/IEC 18974 open-source software security assurance specification. For enterprises, these requirements need to be implemented as traceable component lists, license judgments, vulnerability management, and records of supplier collaboration.

SoftSafe Tech will integrate practices such as software composition analysis, source code detection, and fuzz testing into the discussions. The goal is to align tool outputs with existing development, compliance, and audit processes within enterprises.
