SoftSafe Tech attended the 2025 Fourth Annual ATC Automotive Software and Security Week in Shanghai. Presentation: AI-assisted embedded software development

In a forum session, Product Manager Chen Junjie from SoftSafe Tech delivered a presentation titled 'AI in Embedded Software Development: Efficiency or Pitfall.' He discussed the quality assurance and compliance issues that arise when large models are integrated into the development process.

Currently, AI is increasingly being used for code generation. The challenge of enhancing collaboration between software engineers, AI, and tools remains a significant issue to address.

He elucidated the complementary relationship between them through vivid metaphors—SAST tools are like ‘navigation maps,’ adept at pinpointing risk areas; while large models act as a ‘novice driver’ with some handling capabilities but lacking global cognition. When they combine, it’s akin to the pairing of an ‘intelligent driving system’ and high-precision maps, enabling a closed-loop collaboration for both efficient problem identification and trustworthy repair recommendations.
